Extra Curricular Activities
My Friends House has many programs to further enhance your child's experience.  All instructors are required to provide a background check before teaching a class. Listed below are programs available at an additional charge. These programs are optional. More information can be found on the Extra-Curricular bulletin board at MFH CDC inside our front entrance.  Feel free to take the literature provided.






Stretch-N-Grow

Weekly sessions include: exercise, activities and discussions on health, nutrition, proper hygiene and safety.  Children have fun while learning good healthy habits and exercising. For more information visit: http://www.cgstretchngrow.com/

MusiKids

MusiKids is a national music training program that is rooted in the Kodaly method of music education, an internationally recognized technique with an emphasis on developing the total musician and instilling a love and joy of music-making.

Gigglebytes

Children are taught age-appropriate computer and academic skills in small group sizes for optimal retention.  Sessions last for 30-45 minutes once a week.  Skills emphasized include: classification, sequencing, logical and critical thinking, phonics, visual and auditory discrimination exercises and much more.

Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is a national soccer program designed for children 3-8 years old to introduce them to the game of soccer. Soccer Shots not only teaches children the basic skills of soccer but places a high emphasis on character development as well. Adventure Cooks!

Adventure Cooks is a preschool-based cooking class teaching young children to love preparing good food. We bring the cooking class to your young cook’s school. Along with preparing a delicious snack, this course pairs the food with a children’s book related to that week’s theme.
This multiple week course is led and supervised by two adult cooks and is offered as an extracurricular activity through your child’s preschool.  Adventure Cook will teach kitchen basics including kitchen health and safety, the basics of the  food pyramid.
